A 3:20 Kind of Night

For some reason, I posted about this Thursday, and it disappeared from the blog. Weird.  So let's try this post, round 2....

"Now all glory to God, who is able, through his might power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think"
Ephesians 3:20

That verse, straight out of the New Testament, basically sums up our ONEfamily orientation Wednesday night.

We had 50 folks RSVP on Sunday that they were coming to the orientation.

I prayed for 100.

At 6pm, we were bringing in more chairs because there weren't enough seats.

I had to pretend my allergies were acting up, because we all know how I am about crying.

120 folks spent their Wednesday night learning more about how they can care for the orphan.

More than we could ask or imagine.

We shared the urgent need for adoption, for foster care, and for orphan care.

Everyone listened wide-eyed.

And most likely walked out with information overload.

That didn't matter for some of the people there.

Because they already know their call.  Coming to the orientation just confirmed it.

They're ready.

Others aren't sure yet.

But they heard the need.

They're praying about what's next.

And if there's one thing I know about the people in our church- they don't sit still for long.

For His Glory
