It's amazing to me that I can look back on my life over the past years, months, days...hours...and see His faithfulness in my life to come through at the very moment I needed Him most. And yet, with the unknown laid out before me, I still question if He will come through for me THIS time...with THIS situation...I think that's why it's called faith and why God is so pleased by our trusting hearts in the midst of the unknown. And why He wants us to remember His faithfulness in the past. He knows how forgetful and short-sighted we can be. Thanks for the reminder to keep our eyes fixed on Him and not on the situations in our life that seem to suggest at times that He has "left the building". I call it the "messy, mypoic middle" - when you've stepped out to trust Him in something and then there's this thing that happens along the way that totally threatens to be the undoing of your faith in God showing up - when you can really begin to doubt that God was ever in this to begin with. Maybe it's just me but it happens so often to me that I've decided to just make friends with it and not be surprised when it happens. Though I always am:) Anyway, just have learned to cling more tightly to Jesus and His promises through those times of testing and He definitely always shows up on the other side of that. He is SO good and SO faithful. But it is indeed quite the adventure walking with God...Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14512778237520440171noreply@blogger.com
